Plastic canvas paper dolls off to their new home in Wisconsin.

In panties and all dressed up.

Addional clothes to dress them in.

Tizita, I hope you rook your Mother, grandmother, Mallory and even Aunt Alissa in helping you play with your new plastic canvas paper dolls. I hope you enjoy playing with them for a lot of years.

When you get them dirty, just remind mommy to take them to the kitchen sink and give them a bath, putting them on a towel (flat to dry).

Enjoy!

Here is a photo of the final product.
You cannot see the knots very well on this comforter, but I think it turned out very well.

Quilt top

It's a bit bigger then I thought I would make it, but it will be okay. I hope he will enjoy it when we get it totally done.
Top is all sewed together. Must measure the sheet for the bottom and get it ready, then we will have to knot it and bind it.
Then I want Julie and her boys to autograph it. Her mom and dad will probably want to write a message on it too, before we ship it to Bagdhad to Brandon.

This is the first time I ever used pictures on blocks so it was an experience.

Doilies

These two are the ones I have been making and giving two as bridal shower gifts at church.

This one was originally done with 3 strands of sewing thread and in a rainbow colors. This one is bigger and done with regular crochet thread. Almost as big as the card table top.

This is a 1915 design and it is bigger than the card table. This is done in ecru, tho I have done this one in white also. Note: The row toward the outer edge that looks like humps. That row takes me 8 hours to do.

Refrigerator Magnets/Seasonal

Happy Valentine Day

St.Patricks Day

Happy Easter

July 4th and Memorial Day.

Halloween

Happy Thanksgiving

Merry Christmas

Picket Fence with flowers

This one was a gift to my secret pal when they had to move her mother in law out of their home into a nursing home. She was upset she couldn't take care of her anymore. Gave her this to help cheer her up.

This one is mine. Displayed on my refrigerator.

A gag gift

One auction we had at the church did not sell all of the doilies that I had made. As Michelle pitched the unsold doily back at me the two ladies across the table were giggling terribly. So, when ask what they were giggling about they finally told us. One of them (and they wouldn't say which one) said: "If that would have been a thong it would have sold".

The auction is one we do every year to raise money for the Mother/Daughter Banquet. Later, I told Michelle "Well, perhaps I should have made a thong." And the seed was planted. Both of these ladies are not small ladies, they are bigger than I am. All Michelle and I could think of is the the song about having a itty bitty poka dot bikini. So the dare was one...Could I actually make a thong?

Here are the results I made one in red and one in yellow. (No,I did not put poka dots on it). Not knowing how I would make it so it would be adjustable (elastic was definitely out). I made them tie strings to tie on the sides.

Both of these ladies attend our Carlos Group on the 3rd and 5th Tuesday of each month. So, one Carlos night I presented them with their package.... On the front of the package I told them, after all new products always had to be tested. For comfort, size, dependability, etc.
Both ladies were very good sports. One even went to the rest room and pretended she put it on.

We all had a good laugh that night. Only one remembered what was said the night the auction ended. So I'm sure she was the one who made the initial comment.
She's still a very good friend of mine. I'm glad I didn't hurt either one of their feelings by doing this gag gift for them.

I half expected them to show up at a later date. But to this day they have not surfaced again.

Baskets

This is the first basket I made. Our Friendship Company at church ask a friend of mine to show us and help us make a basket. This is the result of my evening there at the church.

After making a basket you always sign it somewhere. Believe this is the one I gave away to Reese.

The finished products.

No, I do not intend to make more baskets, If I want additional ones, all I have to do is ask Radine to make me one and pay her for it. Hers look a lot nicer then mine. She has done tons of them, and has lots of supplies. I don't have room to store reed too.

Two large size quilts

This is the showing the bottom & top of a quilt that my daughter got for one Christmas. The back sheet for this one was so soft. I found 600 count sheets at Blair. This is a preprinted cloth, just quilted around the design.

This shows the top and bottom.
I have done a number of this design or very simular designs.
Kim got one, Alissa and Nathan got one for a wedding present and so did Victoria and Seth.

My sisters State Flower Quilt From Home

When we left home we were all to get quilts from home. My sisters was not yet done when our mother passed away. So, my older sister took the top and marked it all for quilting. The year I had Martha's name for Christmas I told Sovilla to give me the top that I would quilt it for Martha's Christmas present from me.
SO, YES ---I gave her, her own quilt back for a Christmas present, only this time time it was totally quilted. She was so happy to get it that I believe she cried when she got it.
I know the States portion of this quilt don't show up very well on this picture, but please note what my older sister chose to put on the yellow filler blocks. I,needless to say was thinking it was way too much quilting. The center of this spider web was very hard to quilt with all those lines meeting. But, it did turn our very lovely. The spider web pattern don't know if I will do another like it soon, but the finished product was great.

I had well over 100 hours of quilting on this quilt. Martha said she didn't care that I didn't go out and buy her anything for Christmas that year. She treasured her quilt very much. After all, it contained portions of what our mother had done (she had sewen the State Flower blocks)and both of her sisters had a hand it getting it done.

Better Lord's Supper Picture photo

24 X 60 Quilts I have made

I know this is not all of the small quilts I have done. I don't have the three listed that I did for Julie's three boys. Will need to find my pictures of them.

Julie my coworker got this one.

Our youth pastor's wife got this one for their first child.

This one I still have in my cedar chest. Who knows who will get it in the future. Or if it will be one that my daughter inherits when I am no longer here on earth.

UPDATE: 1-1-2009
No, she will not get this one. At Christmas time at Curves there was a list of people to buy for that were not as fortunate as we are. One was a mother and her 10 month old son. (Judy who works at Curves and the Health Department) told me this was the mother of the baby who had brain surgery because of his seizures. I gave her this lap quilt to snuggle under at night while she watched tv and ate pop corn. So No, Kim you don't get it after all. AAHHH.

This one went to a Secret Pal at church.

Brandy got this one.

This one was actually given to an adult for a lap quilt. Michelle likes light houses. She also runs a day care out of her house, so I'm sure it gets a lot of use.

Matthew H. got this one, It will be used for son # 2 soon.

This baby quilt was very colorful, it had a hot pink back. The mother who got this said her daughter loved looking at the colors at a very early age.

Somewhere on my quilts I always initial and date it. This is actually on a pillow case that I just finished....VC08

Made this quilt for Grandma for Striglos Baby- this quilt went to Florida

Amy Moore's baby shower quilt They moved to the State of Washington.

This quilt is going to a very special little girl in Wisconsin.

This is actually a small pillow I made to go with the last quilt that I did. The pillow is a small travel size pillow. The pillowcase is removable and washable.
