Check book covers & Magic Wallets

Above are a few of the many check book covers and magic wallets that I have made for people. Some were made to order, others I simply experimented with and came up with my own designs.

566 stockings for our troops- 2008 Christmas

I sewed 566 stockings to be filled with goodies to send to our troops for Christmas 2008. If the rest of the town's participants got over 500 done then we will be able to have 1000 to take to Peoria for our Operation Santa 2008 participation.

The photo was taken on Friday, I am holding 75 of the 566 that I made. What a project! I hope the troops enjoy them.

Prayer Shawls

The above is a front and back look at the prayer shawl I made that will be donated to a cancer patient.
This was actually a baby blanket pattern that I took and revised to make the triangle shawl.

This is the stoll like prayer shawl that I crocheted and will be donating to a cancer patient.

Austin's Christmas 2007 (Shephard's Costume)

Christmas 2007, Austin needed a Shepherd's costume for his school play at Holy Family Church. So, I went to our church, borrowed the patterns and came up with this. They wouldn't let him use his staff. They were afraid one of the little ones would get hurt. After all, he was only in kindergarten.

Kim's first blanket, sweater and cap

In 1979 when I found out I was pregnant I decided to make a blanket, sweater and cap. In those days we didn't find out what we were having. So I chose green so I could use it even if we should have a boy. I remember, she never did like the cap.
But, I did use the sweater and blanket till the weather got warm.
The sweater and cap was done in what was called broomstick lace.

Kim's baby sweater

These will not be in any particular order. Since I don't have them all on the computer yet it may take me a long time to show everything I have tried to do in my 45 years of crocheting, sewing crafting, etc.

Above is the sweater that I made for my daughter in 1980. Recently it was given to her to take home, let a friend use if she so desired and then return to her. Who knows perhaps she will someday have a little one who can also enjoy it.

Umbrella

Labor Day week end I decieded I would try to undertake making a new umbrella cover. Above you can see my results. I was very pleased with the results.

Things I have done in the past

There have been a lot of people in the past who have ask about some of the projects I have done in the past. So I thought I might blog some of them. So people could see for themselves.
