Earlier this summer I made a set of Plastic canvas paper dolls and they were mailed to Oklahoma..... The mother told me she was going to save them for Christmas.
So I e-mailed her and ask if I could have photos. Also ask for permission to use the photos on my blog...
These are the two photos she sent me....I think these photos speak for themselves.
I am sure these two little girls will play with these for a very long time.
I am so glad they enjoy them.

Gay's Apron for Granddaughter
Gay wanted a apron for her Granddaughter.
She loves tickets. And she could not find one. So, I offered to make her one.
Bud thought it was too big for a child, but Gay loved it.
Megan told me Audrey had a small doll, smaller then a cabbage patch, so I made her dollie one too.
Hope Audrey has tons of fun selling/giving away tickets.

New Eyes
A while back Kim ask me if I could repair her Mr. Froggies eyes. The whites were all dirty looking and the felt was torn. She wanted to wash him and use him in the nursery for our upcoming grandchild.
I took Mr. Froggie home with me on a Friday night that I was in Bloomington to pick up Bud at the airport. When I went to Walmart- the next day I forgot to get felt.
Then I saw something on line someone else had made and thought---why can't I crochet him some new eyes? I did a trial run and text it to her. But instead of giving him New Eyes I just covered his current eyes with new stuff. Like removing cataracts only in reverse.
I crocheted this covering and covered his eye then sewed it to the body.
Below is the final result.
Now he is all ready (Since Kim has washed him in the washer) he is all ready for a young child to carry him around by the legs just like she did when she was younger.

Waiting to meet our new mommies.
What will our new mommies Name us?
We have our bags all packed and ready to go. Great Grandma/Grandpa will deliver us to our new mommies---Probably at Thanksgiving time.
We are ready to go, but will rest until we get there. Because we know when we get there our new mommies - Zabryna & Charis will shower lots of lovin on us, and give us a good home. We are expecting to have a lot of fun with them!
P.S.
The Great Grandmother/Grandfather who got these dolls has been like a mother/father to me the past 6-7 years. They have been very gracious in watching our bird Paco for us when we go places. In appreciation of their helping us and not taking any payment, we wanted their great granddaughters to have a set of these to enjoy.
Zabryna & Charis We hope you have a great time playing with these dolls.

The California Raisins
Who remembers the California Raisins? My nephew totally loved them when he was young. In my recent visit to his room when I stopped to see them, I find that he still has the pictures that I made for him, years ago.
The center one is a bit blurred, but it does have his name on the side of it.
Chalk the blurr up to the fact that I was actually standing on his futon to take these photos.
Justin, I am so glad you are still enjoying these pictures after this many years.
Your Aunt Verna had forgotten all about them.

Repair job, lead to new one. Merry Christmas Amy.
Amy tore the corner of her apron, so I not only mended her current apron,
but made her a new one.
Here she is with her new apron.
Below I am displaying her apron. It doesn't show up on her like I would have liked, since they wear black tops also.
Nobody will steal her apron. It has her name on the back.

Many moons ago
Many, many years ago, I did this picture for my neice. Actually the boy, rock and sheep are stuffed with cotton from the back.
I had forgotten that I had done this when I was single (many, many moons ago), the last time I was at my neices I saw it hanging in the hallway.
I'm glad she is still enjoying this piece.
And how true on the saying..."The Lord Is My Shepherd!"
Thank you dear Jesus for everything you have done for me in the past!

Resonse to Beanjube
Beanjube has left a new comment on your post "Plastic canvas paper dolls off to their new home i...":
Where on earth did you find these patterns? My godmother had made a whole set like you have done for my little sister when we were kids. Having a 3-year old girl of my own, I wanted to make these for her cause she had a blast playing with Auntie's. (who lives over 1,000 miles away from us) I contacted my godmother and she no longer had them or couldn't find the patterns anymore. I have looked all over online and can only find the pattern for the nightgown & the doll herself. Any suggestions?
I have given away, sold and made a number of sets for other people.
I made a set for my daughter years and years ago. I do have a pattern book (Somewhere in my sewing room), but have recently moved so I can't just put my fingers on it at the moment.) wait, let me go look I know where it was at the old house. Let me check something.
WOW, I am amazed. I found it... The pattern book I usesd is called Dress-Me doll.
I googled it and found it on Annie's attic, but they were sold out the number on the book is 87P16.
Good luck hunting for the book. If you deciede you would like a set or a partial set, let me know. My e-mail address is on my profile.

Afghan & Quilt went to resale shop
This afghan and quilt were taken to the resale shop. Hopefully they will keep some unknown person warm and get used. They have been sitting in my storage closet for a number of years and since we downsized they simply had to go.
This is a double knit quilt that I made when we lived on Roosevelt Ave. and had a water bed. OLD, OLD, OLD.....
The ladies at the resale shop (which is a church run shop/proceeds help the church), well, they should really like me the past couple weeks, they got tons of stuff from us lately.

Sleeve pattern dresses.
These two dresses were made for two of my nieces. This is actually the sleeve pattern of my wedding dress, I simply changed colors on yarn and revised it a bit and made these little girl dresses.
Too bad I can't find my photo of DeEtta and Charity modeling these dresses, or I simply would have to display it, even those these girls are now grown women.

Latch hook
I wanted to try my hand at latch hook.
I made this rug for my bathroom when I was singe.
BUT, OH I Was so sad, The first time I washed it, WELL IT was ruined.
Every 4-5 row the whole row came out......
NO I NEVER TRIED TO DO ANOTHER ONE. AND I DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO VERNA RIG THIS ONE AND FIX IT. Do not know what I did wrong, but I do know that was a lot of hard work, that just went out the window that day.

Crochet cover up.
When you crochet with 3 small strands of thread all at once it can create a challenge. But, so can making errors in your pattern.
I made a couple of these, and when I got done with this one, I noticed an error in the pattern, but since I didn't see it till I was done, YEP, I left it. Bet the girl who got it never knew there was an error in it.
Can you find the error?
The bottom one does not have the error in it.

Another Repair job completed.
BEFORE:
AFTER:
The other day when I was working on getting the service men's time cards from the day before, I spoke before I thought. Telling a service man that he needed to get his mother to fix his pants. And if she couldn't do it then he would need to bring them in so that I could fix them.
Working with the public the hole looked horrid. After all who wants to see the serviceman's underwear when he comes to fix your no heat or no cooling?
And I don't want to see them when he brings me his time from the day before's service calls.
So, Thursday morning he brought me his jeans for a repair job.
They are now ready to return to the office for everyday use.
Another patch job has been completed.

Cabbage Patch Fun
Carlie (the premie) was her favorite one. I don't remember what the other one's name was. After all I have slept dozens of times since she played with these.
When my daughter was small she loved her cabbage patch baby. So, I made her some extra clothes for her baby.
I know she had two shoes, but when I took these photos years later, I could only find one.
My sister, Martha made this one for her.
